Looking for a well-experienced Restaurant Assistant Manager to assume the daily operations at our busiest Friendly Confines Restaurant Location. The Owner, Mr. Carmen Jordan Sr will be retiring this fall, and his son (who's been running the location for the last 13 years) will be stepping up to oversee the overall brand, which includes multi-unit growth and future of the company as a whole. This also includes our sports memorabilia business, which will play a huge part in the future of the company. Please only apply if you have managed a fast-paced full-service restaurant doing a minimum of 2 million a year in sales. Sports are the focus of our restaurants, so sports knowledge is a MUST. You'll be joining our current in-place group of managers, who each assume key roles. We'll have a 4-to-6-week training period and go over all our company policies, procedures, and daily operations. We're a Mom & Pop-style business, and we run things pretty casual; our managers pretty much run the store as if it were their own business. Please only apply if you meet all the above criteria.
Job details:
- The person we hire will assume duties of running the restaurant along with the current management staff and should have both front of the house and back of the management experience, ability to jump into the kitchen or on the service well during a rush is also a must.
- Understanding the calculation of the cost of goods and how important it is to keep our costs in line.
- Understanding payroll percentages and how to make proper adjustments during the slow times. Not that there are many.
- You have a total staff of 30+ employees, all in place. Including a bar manager, kitchen manager, assistant general manager and assistant kitchen manager. This positional hire will eventually assume the general manager role which will also build into a commission program for incentive at a later date.
- The starting pay is $18.00 to $22.00. depending on your experience level your initial raise will be after your 90-day training period.
